We Thrive in the Dark

An artist that’s always been on my mind and someone I’ve been wanting to post has finally arrived.  Justin Bartlett is a well known artist in the land of heavy metal and graphic t-shirts.  His work is dark, mainly black and white (with some reds), eerie, and fucking fantastic.  Oh, and it screams metal.  He has many many pieces up on his website but here are a few that I enjoy the most.

Hiatus Ovah.

Wild Beasts are easily one of my favorites from this past year. Love the druid paganism themed video. And Tom Fleming’s voice is pure decadence.

The Vinyl Stitches make me believe Lux is not really dead.

Overgain

I instantly fell in love after looking through the lookbook for Bess. The images, models, and especially the clothes, are all fantastic.  There’s nothing in their line that I don’t like.  I suggest you click to enlarge and click the image again. ENJoY.

Under The Moon Of…

I’m lovin’ the fall 09 stuff from Weekday.  Perhaps obsessed… I’m especially lovin’ the belt buckle boots and the way the pants fit the guy, bunched at the bottom. mmm..

BLACKNUSS

Editorial project curated by Giorgio Di Salvo.  Eric Brunetti also worked on the book as well.  There are images of chosen number of artists who are drawn to the book’s unifying theme: darkness. I can’t wait to get my hands on this.
